Who do we have representing us in Washington: Unsullied Parrots or Brave Generals? Who will stand up for the conservatives who want limited government, who want a competitive democracy where working hard gets you somewhere, who want the government out of their private lives.
We are so close to socialism it is really becoming scary. The government watches our emails, listens to our phone calls, looks into our homes, and now has taken control of our healthcare. Healthcare is not the government’s decision nor should it be.
Obamacare will cause us big trouble because it is not self sustainable. The Insurance companies will raise their premiums because not enough is being paid into the system to cover treatments.
Gone are the days when a group of retailers, a school system, or a manufacturing segment can pool their resources to provide group insurance at a moderate costs. Good insurance too!
Instead of supporting the unemployed and low income folks with government entitlements we should get them work. Help these folks make a better life for themselves. Provide Mental Health Care for those on the streets who need it. Give control to the communities and the state.
The Federal government should be spending its energy and investments on National Security. It has no right to be in the education of our children, the selection of our doctors, listening to our conversations with friends and families, denying us of the freedoms given to us in the second and third amendments. The third is important too. Check that one out and note that no one talks about it!
Our President has smartly driven Americans apart, made promises on the backs of entitlements, and created an embattled budget that will drive America into bankruptcy. His socialistic tools are Obama care, The National Debt, extreme Government control over our earnings, our health, and our security, and lastly disavowing the Constitution of the United States.
He has driven Americans apart with his pledges to attack income inequality. His version of this is to entitle those who are have-nots. But true Americans understand it is not the Haves versus the Have-nots. It is a division between those who work and those who don’t. It is a division between those who make the correct choices and those who do not. For example, those who go to college, get a degree, and graduate, will earn more than those who do not. Women who have children within the arms of marriage will have more than those who have children out-of-wedlock. Those who work hard and make the right choices earn more than those who do not.
Now our President is driving many Americans into the have not category without their having any choice which is a right!. According to the OBM, 2.5 million jobs will be lost due to Obama care. More will be dependent on the government, unable to drive themselves forward and out of the lower level of the financial basement. He is taking away our freedoms.
Socrates said keep them hungry but don’t let them starve. Is this Obama’s Plan?

Yes, our founding fathers knew that an imperial government would never listen to the needs of those whose lives and businesses oiled the wheels of the economy. Only the people could insure the continued growth and security within our national borders. They knew that a democratic society with representation from the people was the way to go. Colonial people had a voice in their new government. The happiness of the people drove the government in the direction it needed. There was greed, but most of it lay with the rich and the British Imperialists. Eventually, the colonists refused to let the latter have any voice.
Now we have the kind of government our forefathers sought to avoid. We have a social democracy where nearly half of our population receives entitlements. They are not encouraged to seek education, start a business, or take a job. They believe the government will take care of them. So why work? Will our government help the poor survive the current economic maelstrom?
This maelstrom is fueled by deficit spending, treating terrorism as workplace violence, and an unbalanced budget followed by the perfect storm to hit us March 1st: Obamacare. Obamacare will bankrupt America.
What are our choices? We need a smaller government. In the past churches helped those in need of clothing, food, or jobs. Now they do some of this but they also spend a great deal of their money on the poor in foreign countries. We need it here. Could we not take care of poverty through our faith and private enterprise?
Greed is the root of our problem. When an organization or business gets greedy they want the money all to themselves. They do not sense the responsibility of helping others because of the greed that chokes them. Greed may be the downfall of America.
That is what it is-slavery. We have no freedom to choose our healthcare any longer. Because of Obama care we are forced to take a silver, gold or bronze plan. The old plans that suited us just perfectly are gone; not available, adiós.
We are on a fixed income, early social security and one pension. My husband’s current insurance premium is $335.50 per month, barely affordable. The new Obama care plan which closely mirrors his old plan has a premium of $662.02, a 97 percent increase.
The catastrophic plan they offer has a $ 6500 deductible and its premium is $472 or a 40 percent increase. No, we are not eligible for the subsidy.
The argument in Congress is a valid one. Our president wants to hamstring the middle class and place everyone on equal status with the working class. We were once working class but moved up with our careers to a secure and comfortable upper middle class status. The economy supported by this administration to provide subsidies and welfare programs has destroyed our well-being. Now we are where Obama wants us: dependant, subsidized, and in need of a powerful government to take care of us.
In 1776 the new American people established a moderate government because they no longer wanted to be ruled by a King and his personal agenda. Revolt! Do not succumb to this servitude!
We told our insurance provider that we could not afford either plan. We said good-bye and will seek quotes from other insurers.
Oh by the way be ready to stay on hold. We could not apply online for his new policy. Our Insurer’s website on October 1, 2013 continued to show the old plans like the advantage plan 2 for $310.00 a month which was perfect for us.
The Congressional Budget Office estimates that 7 million Americans will lose their coverage because of Obamacare. North Carolina Congressman Pittenger reports that Blue Cross Blue Shield has announced a 284 % increase for some North Carolina insurance premiums also due to Obamacare. Small business owners are concerned that costly Obamacare regulations will drive them out of business. So can someone explain the word affordable in Affordable Care Act?
I am concerned for two reasons: first most of us can not afford a 284 percent increase on middle income or retirement income. Secondly I do not want federal help. I understand that if you make a certain amount of money you will be able to receive funding from the government to assist you in paying these steep premiums. In my opinion, it is another way for the government to control us. The government takes more and more control of our lives each day. Our government tells us what we can eat, how we should protect ourselves, what kind of healthcare we are allowed to have, and even legislates our morality.
As an American, I do not want the federal supplement. I started working when I was thirteen. From the beginning I have been independent, working my way through college, starting a career at the bottom of the ladder and living in a small one bedroom apartment using the coffee table for dining. Many people start out this way. I believe most Americans want an independent society not socialism.
In congress, a legislative bill is being prepared to repeal Obamacare. With all the negative and costly changes that Obamacare has brought us I think this is a good idea.
If healthcare for the uninsured is something we need, let’s start over with a plan that does not hurt more people than it helps. Research the information on Obamacare and send your congressman an email or letter and support the repeal of the Affordable Care Act.
